About the Event

Hobbstown, located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, was founded in 1921 by Reverend Amos Hobbs and his brothers during the Great Migration. It became the first African American community in Bridgewater and remains a vital part of local history.


This event is open to all interested in learning about this chapter of local history including area residents, spouses, family, friends, and visitors.
