National Day of Service
On the National Day of Service - NJSFWC clubs make a difference!
The Franklin Woman's Club, College District participated in the Day of Service at NJSFWC Headquarters in New Brunswick. Food items for various meal kits were collected by the clubs in each District, brought to a central location and assembled into various meal kits. The meal kits and other food items were then donated to the Community Food Bank of NJ.
Holiday Food Baskets
Each year the FWC creates holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and December holidays. They are filled with non-perishable food items, paper goods, and a grocery store gift card. Lisa Andreini, our Chairperson for Community Service program, with help from Nancy Gale, filled four baskets, beautifully gift wrapped them for delivery to a Franklin Township social worker for distribution to our local families in need.
Holiday Cheer for our Service Members
Each year, FWC prepares holiday greeting cards, and stockings filled with personal care items for our active duty personnel.
Operation Smile Bags
61 Smile Bags were shipped to Operation Smile!
The Health and Wellness Community Service Program has been busy making Smile Bags to send to Operation Smile. Operation Smile is an organization that provides free cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for children whose families might not otherwise be able to afford it. During recuperation, each child is given a Smile Bag containing small toys, stickers, personal care items, and a mirror with which to see their new smile. See operationsmile.org for more information. Thank you to everyone who assisted!
